Our client, a leading international construction manufacturer, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. With nearly 80 years of experience, they deliver high-quality construction products into some of the UK’s most iconic commercial projects. Their reputation for excellence has built a loyal customer base of sub contractors, and main contractors, with approximately 90% repeat business. The incoming Area Sales manager will benefit from a steady stream of inbound leads thanks to the company’s strong reputation and world-class marketing support, providing the Area Sales Manager with a pipeline of exciting opportunities to follow up and convert.
Role Description of Area Sales Manager
* Field-based Area Sales Manager representing a global blue-chip construction business
* Managing 90% new-build and 10% refurbishment commercial projects
* Selling non-structural and interior products
* Building and maintaining relationships with sub contractors, and main contractors
* Opportunities are inbound leads from contractors into confirmed projects (minimal cold-prospecting)
* Handling projects with order values of up to £500k
* Working closely with contractors to maximise opportunities from inbound enquiries
* Collaborating with a supportive sales team to deliver excellent service to main contractors and contractors
Candidate Requirements for the Area Sales Manager
* Proven experience in specification sales - tracking projects with specifiers and contractors
* Strong commercial awareness with a track record of converting construction projects
* Organised, professional, motivated, and results-driven
* Stable career history with demonstrable achievements in construction sales
Package for the Area Sales Manager
* Up to £60,000 basic salary
* £24,000 OTE bonus
* Generous car allowance or company car
