Your new role
As the MIS & Data Systems Officer, you will be a key member of the Management Information Systems team, providing essential support during a period of maternity leave. Reporting to the MIS Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and validating the Individual Learner Record (ILR) for statutory submissions.
2. Supporting the transition of college processes to Arbor Workflow and maintaining Cedar-based systems.
3. Using DSAT tools to ensure data quality and auditpliance.
4. Assisting with timetable development and resource allocation using Edval and Arbor.
5. Managing student records, course changes, and registerpliance.
6. Overseeing ID card systems and ensuring integration with security and printing.
7. Capturing and analysing student destination and progression data.
8. Supporting enrolment, admissions, and exams processes, including data checks and invigilation.
9. Providing MIS support and training to staff, students, and external agencies.
10. Designing data capture screens and maintaining documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications:
11. IT qualification (minimum Level 2)
12. GCSE English and Maths (Level 2 or equivalent)
Knowledge & Experience:
13. Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Access
14. Understanding of educational data requirements and processes
15. Experience in data validation, reporting, and administration
16. Familiarity with Arbor, Cedar, Edval, and DSAT tools is advantageous
17. Experience supporting end users and managing projects/processes
Technical Skills:
18. Confident in usingmercial software and extracting meaningful data
19. Skilled in report writing and procedure documentation
20. Ability to analyse and improve processes
