Secondary School Teaching Assistants (SEMH) Long-term Teachers are working with a fantastic secondary special school in Bristol seeking 3 Teaching Assistants to join their enthusiastic team in September on a full-time basis. Located across 2 sites in Bristol, the secondary school is committed to providing support to students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH) among other special needs & disabilities. Position Details: Role: Teaching Assistant (ages 11-16) Start Date: September Location: BS10, Bristol Contract: Full-time, Long-term/Permanent (either September or immediate start) Key Responsibilities: Providing general emotional support to students across the school Assisting class teachers with lesson planning and overall classroom management Providing 1-1 support for students with SEMH & ASD Being proactive in your support of the students Requirements: Experience working with secondary-aged children, preferably within a UK setting. Being strong/confident in dealing with challenging behaviour Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
