About the Role
As a Young Persons Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16 to 25 as they transition to adulthood. This is a statutory role guided by the Children Act 1989, Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000, and the Children and Social Work Act 2017.
You’ll manage a diverse caseload and act as a consistent, reliable figure helping young people build their future across housing, health, education, and employment.
What You'll Do
1. Deliver high-quality, statutory support and pathway planning to young people leaving care.
2. Build trusting, professional relationships that balance empathy and authority.
3. Co-develop creative, person-centred plans that address risk, promote independence, and enable long-term success.
4. Work closely with multi-agency partners to develop robust support packages and ensure smooth transitions.
5. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, reflection, and trauma-informed practice.
