We’re recruiting for a Scheme Underwriter to join us. We’re offering a base salary of £34,000-£47,000 and hybrid working. Are you ready to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive team? We’re looking for an Underwriter to join our Group Protection Retail team. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while helping us grow our business. What you'll be doing:
* Assessing risk and setting pricing in line with underwriting guidelines
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers
* Collaborating with colleagues to meet shared financial and service goals
* Managing your workload to meet deadlines and communicating effectively when needed
* Supporting your own development by learning new skills and following your personal development plan
* Staying informed about new products, team updates, and business developments
* Ensuring customers receive clear, timely information to manage their policies
* Prioritising service for customers making changes, claims, or complaints
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* Experience in underwriting or a related financial services role
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Ability to adapt and stay motivated in a fast-paced environment
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals
* A proactive approach to personal development and learning
* Understanding of Group Protection products and regulations
* Commitment to treating customers fairly and upholding high ethical standards
