Site Hygiene Manager – High Care Food Manufacturing
Location: South Wales
Onsite (Days/Nights Flexibility) - £60,000 + Package + Senior Leadership Opportunity
A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Site Hygiene Manager to take full responsibility for hygiene operations across a high-care production site.
This is a key leadership role with accountability for delivering exceptional hygiene standards across all shifts in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
The Role
* Lead and manage site-wide hygiene operations across day and night shifts
* Oversee and develop a large hygiene team, driving a high-performance culture
* Ensure full compliance with retailer and regulatory hygiene and food safety standards
* Take ownership of hygiene systems, driving continuous improvement and sustainable standards
* Play a key role in audits, inspections, and customer interactions
* Lead from the front with a hands-on, proactive approach
* Support site performance through improvement and turnaround initiatives
About You
* Proven experience in a hygiene leadership role within high-care food manufacturing
* Strong understanding of working to major UK retailer standards
* Experience managing large teams across multiple shifts
* Flexible approach to working patterns (days, nights, and occasional weekends)
* Able to demonstrate delivery of measurable improvements or change projects
* A strong team player with a practical, hands-on leadership style
Qualifications
* HACCP Level 3 (minimum)
* Food Safety and Lysteria Level 4
* Advanced hygiene or Listeria control experience (desirable)
* NEBOSH or IOSH certification
* Microbiology knowledge (advantageous)
