Role Title: Lecturer in Agriculture
Location: Llysfasi
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: M1 £33,596 - UP3 £51,932 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 depend on evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)
At Coleg Cambria, we are looking for a Lecturer in Agriculture to join our Landbased team at Llysfasi.
As a Lecturer, you will teach and inspire learners in various agricultural subjects, including livestock husbandry, business, pollution control, and farm diversification. Llysfasi has a modern working farm, featuring the latest technology and beautiful surroundings.
Your duties will include teaching at scheduled times, preparing learning materials, marking students' work, and liaising with awarding bodies for exam invigilation. You will provide guidance and support to students, and participate in marketing, planning, assessment, and evaluation of the courses on offer.
You will work with other tutors on resources and curriculum development, focusing on quality standards, and understanding various learning needs and how to support them. You will also be involved in writing student reports.
Essential Requirements
1. You must be qualified to at least Level 5 in Agriculture or a relevant subject.
2. Ideally, you will be a qualified teacher, holding a PGCE, Cert Ed, or C&G 7407, or be willing to work towards one.
3. You should be able to develop and use diverse teaching techniques and prepare effective written and visual materials.
4. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being a strong team player with enthusiasm in the learning environment.
5. Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.

Welsh Language skills are an essential requirement for this role. Welsh learners will need to be at Level 3 and demonstrate a commitment to achieving fluency.
