Job Description:
Salary Scale: £46,359 - £55,000 per annum
Purpose of the job:
This role involves project managing several workstreams within the wider Traincrew Programme to improve traincrew resourcing management and delivery, supporting the long-term driver strategy, and ensuring project outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing and managing plans for traincrew workstreams aligned with industry requirements.
2. Overseeing project delivery according to the plan.
3. Monitoring project activities, risks, and issues following RDG governance.
4. Identifying and engaging key stakeholders per the stakeholder and communications plan.
5. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adoption of project outputs.
6. Attending and coordinating working and steering group meetings.
7. Providing regular reports to governance and stakeholder groups.
This role is accountable for the successful management of the traincrew workstreams, establishing structures to meet objectives, and delivering intended benefits in partnership with the programme lead and recipients of change.
Team collaboration:
Working with the Traincrew Programme team, Passenger Train Operator representatives, Network Rail leads, industry suppliers, and other stakeholders across the industry, from senior leaders to frontline staff.
Requirements:
Ideal candidates will have proven programme/project management experience, preferably with qualifications like Prince2 or MS Project, and rail industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
