Meraki Accountancy & Finance's client based on the outskirts of Glasgow are looking to add a Qualified Finance Manager for an initial three month daily rate contract. The successful candidate will develop financial planning, budget monitoring, and financial reporting processes.
Key duties of the role include:
Strategic and Financial Support
* Support the Strategic Finance Manager in delivering the objectives of the Finance team and wider organisational Business Plan.
* Deputise for the Strategic Finance Manager when required.
* Support the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies and corporate initiatives.
* Contribute to transformation and change programmes by providing accurate financial information and analysis.
Financial Planning and Budget Management
* Support the development and coordination of the annual revenue budget setting process.
* Work closely with budget holders, Senior Management Team and Senior Leadership Team to provide financial advice, challenge and support.
* Assist in the development of long-term financial planning and financial forecasting processes.
* Support business planning and investment proposals through financial modelling and analysis.
* Assist budget holders in developing business cases and investment plans.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
* Lead the development and continual improvement of financial reporting systems and management information.
* Produce regular budget monitoring reports and financial analysis for managers and stakeholders.
* Provide ad hoc financial advice, analysis and reporting to support operational and strategic decision making.
* Support the preparation of reports for Boards, Committees, government bodies and other stakeholders.
* Develop meaningful financial performance information to support delivery of Business Plan objectives.
* Liaise with partner organisations regarding service payment management and financial monitoring.
Experience required:
* ICAS / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable working to challenging deadlines
* Extensive budgeting & forecasting experience
* Process improvement mindset
