CMC Consulting are partnering with an entrepreneurial, growing SME healthcare business seeking to appoint a senior finance leader to oversee and lead the finance function. This is a broad leadership role working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial strategy, M&A activity, governance, and operational improvement.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded finance professional with the proven leadership experience within the Healthcare or Recruitment sectors and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Roles & Responsibilities :
* Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, providing commercial insight, financial challenge, and data-driven recommendations to support key business decisions and long-term growth objectives.
* Lead the group finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, robust controls, and full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and stakeholder reporting requirements across all entities.
* Manage, mentor, and develop a growing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
* Oversee the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process delivering accurate financial models and meaningful analysis to support strategic planning and business performance.
* Production of monthly management accounts, board packs, and statutory reporting, delivering clear commentary and actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
* Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimisation initiatives, alongside detailed scenario modelling to support operational resilience and future investment planning.
Skills & Experience :
* ACCA / CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience within finance leadership roles
* Demonstrated experience operating within the healthcare sector
* Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams, alongside driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
* The ability to build effective relationships and communicate financial insight to non-finance stakeholders
