Deputy Nursing Home Manager Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: From £24.00 per hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Nursing Home Manager to join a well-established care provider delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a nursing home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nursing professional to lead and support a dedicated clinical team while ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care, dignity, and wellbeing. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care delivery, while promoting a positive and supportive environment for residents, relatives, and staff. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and support nursing and care teams to deliver exceptional resident care Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and external agencies Ensure residents’ wellbeing, dignity, independence, and lifestyle choices are respected at all times Oversee care planning and ensure nutritional and hydration needs are met Conduct pre-admission assessments and support the admissions process Monitor dependency levels and assist with funding and fee assessments where required Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, clinical best practice, and sector developments Promote a professional and positive image of the home both internally and externally Support and mentor nursing team leaders and care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery Manage medication ordering, administration, and storage in line with NMC guidelines and company policies Escalate and report incidents affecting resident safety and welfare appropriately Work closely with senior management to continuously improve clinical standards and service delivery About You To be successful in this role, you will have: RGN or RMN qualification A valid NMC PIN Previous experience within a senior nursing role in a care home environment Strong clinical leadership and team management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities A highly organised approach with strong attention to detail The ability to lead by example and act as a positive role model A compassionate, proactive, and professional attitude Essential Experience Minimum 2 years’ management experience Additional Requirements Full NMC PIN (required) UK Driving Licence (preferred) Benefits Comprehensive induction and ongoing training Career progression and development opportunities Subsidised meals during shifts Enhanced rates for additional hours worked Company pension scheme with employer contribution Free on-site parking 28 days annual leave including bank holidays Health and wellbeing support programme Cycle to Work Scheme Employee referral scheme Financial wellbeing support How to Apply?
