What we are looking for
Christ Church First School is seeking a highly organised and well-motivated teacher to join our dedicated team and teach in our Year 3/4 class. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
* Differentiate teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of all pupils
* Assess children's progress using formative and summative methods, and use data to inform planning and target setting
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, managing behaviour effectively
* Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school, collaborating with colleagues and engaging with the school community
Requirements:
* Excellent subject knowledge and a deep understanding of effective teaching practises
* Proven experience in primary education, with a track record of delivering positive outcomes for children
* A reflective approach to teaching, with a willingness to continuously develop and improve
* Passion for education and a commitment to challenging oneself to become an excellent practitioner
* High expectations for all children and a belief that every child can succeed
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
* A great sense of humour and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school

Salary, hours and pay scale
Main Pay Scale, 1 - 6, £31,650 - £43,607 FTE per year, pro rata (Actual £18,990 - £26,164 per year)
Upper Pay Scale, 1 - 3, £45,646 - £49.084 FTE per year, pro rata (Actual £27,387 - £29,450 per year)
3 days/19.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract of 1 year until August 31st 2026
