Job brief

We are looking for an exceptional Chef de Partie to join the team at The Last. You will be ambitious, dynamic, organised and be prepared to learn. Operating to the highest of standards set out by the Head Chef, you will be in charge of running a section - in all senses - being organised, clean and adding finesse to your cooking.

Responsibilities

* Assist with all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and clean up

* Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes

* Assisting with the management of health and safety

* Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices

* Monitoring portion and waste control

Requirements and skills

* Experience as a Commis Chef/Chef de Partie

* Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

* Familiar with industry's best practices

* Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes

* Strong attention to detail

* Desire to learn and develop and hungry for success

Desirable qualifications

City & Guilds 706/1 | 706/2 Catering or NVQ Level 2/3

Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards

Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety

Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award

Experience in AA 2 Rosette or higher
