Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 + Bonus

Hybrid Working
This position follows a hybrid working model and requires attendance at the Newcastle office, Cobalt Business Park, three days per week.

The Role
As a Senior Java Developer, you will:
Champion best practices in software development, including coding standards, branching strategies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing.
Collaborate with technical leads to design and implement scalable microservices architectures and ensure seamless integration across technical components.
Support test automation activities by working closely with QA engineers to validate both functional and non-functional requirements.
Actively contribute within an Agile Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Mentor and support team members while contributing across development and testing activities to help deliver high-quality solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Strong commercial experience with Java (versions 8-17).
Proven expertise in Spring Framework technologies, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
Experience with JavaScript development.
Current hands-on Java development experience within enterprise environments.
The ability to mentor, guide, and support junior developers.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
