About the role
Applications are invited for the post of Landscape South Manager in the Royal Holloway Doctoral School. Royal Holloway University of London has been successfully awarded funding to lead the AHRC Doctoral Landscape South Hub, which provides training and support for doctoral students in the arts and humanities. Landscape South is led by Royal Holloway and is a collaboration between RHUL, Reading, Sussex, Exeter, Bristol, Oxford, Oxford Brookes, Southampton, Brighton, the OU, and Kent.
The Landscape South Manager will lead on administration for Landscape South, working closely with the Landscape South Director to ensure the successful implementation of Landscape South through Royal Holloway and the DLA’s partner institutions, and will provide line management of the Landscape South Training Officer.
Responsibilities
* Lead on administration for Landscape South.
* Work closely with the Landscape South Director to ensure successful implementation of Landscape South through Royal Holloway and partner institutions.
* Provide line management of the Landscape South Training Officer.
* Develop, review, and improve internal processes and service delivery.
* Deliver a strong standard of service to staff and service users.
* Collaborate with team members and external partners.
Qualifications and experience
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of the Higher Education sector.
* Strategic thinking and planning skills.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and IT literacy skills.
* Ability to adapt and respond to changing requirements.
* Experience of line management and team leadership.
* Professional approach in communication to staff and service users.
* Strong team‑working skills.
* Experience of reviewing and developing processes.

Working conditions
The post is based in Egham, Surrey. Some events may take place at the London campus (e.g., Bedford Square or Stewart House). The university has adopted hybrid working for some roles, so some remote working may be possible.
