Overview
You play a key role in supporting the SSNA Electrical Equipment Procurement Plan by ensuring materials and services are delivered on time, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with technical and quality requirements. Your responsibilities span the entire supply chain lifecycle, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier coordination, and performance reporting. You work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain clear oversight of all procurement activities within your remit.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain effective reporting of cost, supplier, and schedule performance of deliverables and hardware in line with team requirements.
* Create and manage contractual documentation using digital purchasing systems (SAP).
* Collaborate, problem‑solve and ensure effective communication with suppliers and cross‑functional stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
* Account for all related supply‑chain activity in line with the area of responsibility and support line management and wider team when required.
Qualifications
* Supply chain or procurement experience within an engineering background.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including experience delivering presentations to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Solid IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
* Experience of placing and managing contracts in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
* Willingness to travel when required.
All applicants must, as a minimum, achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK, depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
