About the Role
We are looking for a Year‑In‑Industry undergraduate student to support our Marketing team, taking ownership of Space 100, our on‑site meeting and events area. This hands‑on role blends event coordination with marketing project support, providing real‑world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day running of Space 100; act as the first point of contact.
* Coordinate Space 100 calendar and meeting areas.
* Ensure all Space 100 equipment and appliances are fully functioning daily, engaging with service providers for repairs.
* Work with facilities to keep Space 100 clean, tidy and maintained.
* Liaise with internal teams to determine meeting and event requirements.
* Produce detailed proposals for events (timelines, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, budgets).
* Research suppliers and contractors; negotiate prices with Procurement.
* Manage and coordinate all event logistics.
* Promote events with the marketing team.
* Plan pre‑event activities: organising guest speakers and delegate packs.
* Handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day to ensure smooth operation.
* Brief relevant parties and organise car parking, security, first aid and guest booking.
* Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are met.
* Work with EHS to manage RAMs for events.
* Adequately dismantle and remove the event venue.
* Produce post‑event evaluation to inform future events.
* Research opportunities for new events.
Skills & Requirements
* Collection and organisation of data.
* Perform competitor and customer analysis.
* Analyse data using appropriate tools.
* Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and collaborate with design/engineering.
* Create design briefs for product‑focused content.
* Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to create promotional material.
* Drive sales/profitability of current product portfolio through category management.
* Present findings clearly and concisely.
* Develop internal presentations and present to functional groups.
* Understand business situations and company policies, leading to career advancement.
* 3 A levels minimum; currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail.
* Strong time‑management, proactive, and self‑motivated.
* Project‑management experience and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
* Proactive in developing new processes and continuous improvement.
