As a Technology Programme Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of large, high‑profile programmes transforming how we operate to unlock lasting value for Primark’s colleagues and customers. The role is a key leadership position accountable for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex technology projects aligned to a defined scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day‑to‑day:
* Own the end‑to‑end delivery of complex technology programmes, comprising multiple projects, through all stages of the programme lifecycle – initiation, design, development (incl. integration and testing), deployment and closure.
* Partner with the programme leadership team (i.e. Business Programme Directors, Business Sponsors and Technology Leaders) to define the programme’s strategic objectives and ensure continuous alignment.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive programme plan, aligned to Primark’s long‑term strategic objectives, with defined objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements.
* Oversee and lead the coordinated delivery of multiple projects to time, cost, quality and scope to ensure the cohesive delivery of the programme’s objectives.
* Ensure the programme adheres to Primark’s standards set by Planning (i.e. Primark’s Delivery Governance Framework), Architecture, Engineering, Service, Cyber and Governance, Risk & Compliance with dependencies built into the plan.
* Provide strong leadership and direction to project teams, acting as a point of escalation for key issues or decisions to ensure alignment with the strategic objectives.
* Manage a multi‑million programme budget, comprising multiple projects, where the total budget exceeds £15m per annum.
What You’ll Bring
* 12‑15 years of relevant experience in project and programme management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
* Extensive experience in technology project and programme management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering high‑quality results against a defined scope, timeline, budget and quality standard.
* Knowledge of retail industry‑specific technologies and trends.
* Proficiency in project and programme management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
