Clare House School Porthcawl is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Early Years Teacher to join our founding team. This is an opportunity to help create a distinctive Early Years provision from the very beginning, designing meaningful learning experiences within an environment where every child is celebrated, known and encouraged to thrive.

Role overview
1. Deliver a play-rich Early Years curriculum informed by the Early Years Foundation Stage and elements of the Curriculum for Wales
2. Create meaningful learning experiences through experiential and child-led approaches inspired by Reggio Emilia principles
3. Design purposeful indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage exploration, curiosity and independence
4. Support children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through strong relationships and responsive teaching
5. Observe, document and extend children’s thinking through purposeful interactions and reflective practice
6. Lead Play & Learn Club sessions as part of the school’s wider community engagement strategy
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school community
Requirements
8. Level 3 childcare qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Early Years Teacher Status
9. Strong understanding of child development and Early Years pedagogy
10. Commitment to creating inclusive, relational and child-centred learning environments
11. Ability to use an holistic assessment strategy of summative, formative and reflective approaches to effectively support pupil progress
12. Confidence working collaboratively as part of a growing and values-led team
13. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil wellbeing
