Our client has secured a strong pipeline and now requires a Buyer to join their growing team.
Your new role
Our client requires a procurement specialist to join theirmercial team and assess subcontractor requirements for a range of projects across the UK and Ireland worth up to £20m. Your main responsibility will be to negotiate and agree sub-contractor packages for a variety of projects. You will be required to process orders from site management and thus demonstrate the ability to adapt and respond to urgent orders and requests. The successful candidate will liaise with the surveying and site teams on a regular basis to address any issues regarding sub-contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have an interest in pursuing a career within procurement with previous experience in a similar role ideally with a main contractor. A proven track record of cost effective purchasing is essential. As you will be required to work as part of a team, excellent interpersonal andmunication skills are necessary. You will also be able to demonstrate impressive negotiation skills apanied with the ability to work on your own initiative.
