About Phorest Phorest powers 11,000 hair and beauty salons using our software across the globe. You will join a group of highly motivated individuals, to help us grow Phorest faster. The Opportunity We're looking for someone passionate about driving Phorest’s continued growth, analysing overall revenue and with a strong focus on payments. If you're a dedicated analyst with a knack for financial excellence and commercial nous, we want to hear from you. You'll sit within the Data Analyst team at Phorest and report directly to the Head of Business Performance. You'll be working on both internal and client-facing projects, analyzing data from various sources to provide top-notch commercial analysis and insights into Phorest’s revenue streams, with a special emphasis on payment products. You'll measure performance against KPIs and work with teams across the business to drive commercial success. You'll collaborate with a close-knit commercial and operational team, as well as other internal stakeholders like the Director of Payments - Commercial, Head of Pricing, and Commercial Enablement Lead, to drive best practices and achieve business growth. What You'll Do Revenue & Data Analysis: Dive deep into revenue and payment data to spot trends, patterns, and anomalies. Use data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards for stakeholders. Business Insights: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to boost our overall revenue and improve merchant services products based on your data analysis. Commercial Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, legislation, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in both revenue and merchant services. You'll bring a strong commercial awareness to all your analysis. Revenue Planning Support: Work closely with the Finance team to streamline and maintain our revenue budgeting and forecasting models and tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial planning. Process Improvement: Find ways to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis processes across all revenue streams. Performance Optimization: Analyze revenue and payment data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement. Recommend ways to enhance efficiency, cut costs, and protect our margins. Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate revenue-related risks, including fraud, chargebacks, and errors, through proactive measures and controls. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, especially Pay, Finance and Product, to ensure revenue and payment impacts are always considered in new initiatives. Who You Are A Bachelor's degree in data science or a related field. Proven experience as a Revenue Analyst, Payments Data Analyst, or a similar role, ideally within a business with significant payment processing. Strong understanding of overall business revenue drivers, payment systems, merchant services operations, and payment data. Excellent skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Highly skilled in Google Sheets & Slides or Microsoft equivalent. Top-notch analytical and problem-solving abilities. Great communication and interpersonal skills – you can turn complex data into clear, actionable business insights. Super detail-oriented and accurate in your data analysis. Able to work well independently and as part of a team. A proactive, results-oriented mindset, coupled with strong commercial awareness. A self-starter who can take initiative to solve problems and maintain a high standard of work.
