Job overview
We are looking for a qualified nursery nurse to work at our busy and successful nursery.
Are you looking to work somewhere that feels like home? Every day is different in our busy nursery looking after children from 3 months to 5 years of age. The ability to work in a sometimes noisy environment and have the ability to turn a frown into a smile is essential. A working environment that offers you support to develop your knowledge and skills and be part of a service that supports frontline NHS staff.
You will need to have a good understanding of child development, the EYFS, OFSTED standards and an OFSTED approved Paediatric First aid and life support training. You will need to be able to complete relevant paperwork, plan and carry out activities to support the children's learning and development. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative is also desirable
Main duties of the job
-To provide a high standard of childcare.
-To treat all children equally and fairly.
-To work effectively within the nursery team supporting colleagues.
- To communicate effectively with parents/carers
-To take an active part in all aspects of nursery routines including toileting, basic mealpreparation and nappy changes.
-To be aware of the SEN Code of Practice and ensure all activities and the nurseryenvironment comply with it.
-To complete appropriate documentation including accident forms, medical forms, registersdaily records, observations and developmental records.
