Job Title: Assistant Repairs Delivery Manager
Location: East Renfrewshire, Barrhead
Rate: £24.76 and £27.07 per hour
Contract Type: 12 weeks initial - potential for extension up to 34 weeks

ASA are working with a public sector client who is looking for a proactive and driven Assistant Repairs Delivery Manager to join their Housing Services team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, customer-focused repairs to our residents.
About the Role
As Assistant Repairs Delivery Manager, you'll support the Repairs Delivery Manager in implementing and managing the housing repair and maintenance programme. You’ll ensure that day-to-day operations - delivered by in-house trade teams and external contractors - run efficiently, safely, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
You'll supervise a team of Technical Officers, oversee the delivery of both responsive and planned works, and play a key role in health and safety compliance, performance monitoring, and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise Technical Officers, storemen, and admin staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
· Plan and monitor responsive repairs and improvement works, ensuring they are delivered on time and to a high standard.
· Ensure effective deployment and productivity of trade staff, supporting HR processes including absence and disciplinary procedures.
· Manage and monitor subcontractors, ensuring adherence to procurement and compliance procedures.
· Support digital transformation and innovation across the service.
· Oversee electrical compliance, ensuring all testing, certification, and reporting meets regulations.
· Respond to Stage 1 complaints, councillor enquiries, and insurance claim investigations.
· Deputise for the Repairs Delivery Manager as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, solutions-focused, and confident managing both people and processes in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need:
Essential:
· Relevant qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent) in building maintenance, construction, or surveying.
· Strong knowledge of housing repairs, ideally in a local authority or DLO environment.
· Experience supervising in-house trade teams and delivering service improvements.
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
· Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and relevant housing/repairs systems.
Desirable:
· Membership of a professional body related to maintenance/building trades.
· Experience with Opti-time (DRS) or other scheduling and repairs management software.
