We are recruiting a Service Controller for our reputable client on a permanent basis.
Role: Service Co-ordinator
Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Salary: Up to £40000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
About our Client hiring a Service Co-ordinator:
Our client is seeking an experienced Service Co-ordinator to support the Service Manager and workshop team. This role would suit someone from a Plant, Agricultural, Quarry, HGV or similar heavy industry background who is looking to move off the tools into an office-based service role.
Key Responsibilities as a Service Co-ordinator:
* Support the Service Manager with the daily running of the service department
* Organise and coordinate workshop workload
* Provide technical advice and support to engineers
* Help improve service department performance and efficiency
* Liaise with engineers, workshop staff and management
* Assist with service planning, job allocation and workflow
* Maintain high standards of organisation, communication and customer service
* Work in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements
Requirements for the Service Co-ordinator role:
* Experience within heavy industry is essential
* Hands-on engineering, fitting or mechanical experience would be beneficial
* Strong technical understanding of heavy equipment or machinery
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Able to support engineers with technical queries
* Confident working in an office-based service environment
* Previous experience as a Service Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, Service Controller, Workshop Controller or Service Coordinator would be advantageous
