A growing multidisciplinary consultancy, known for expertise in landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join its new office near Glasgow. The role involves design of infrastructure projects, day-to-day project management, mentoring, client liaison, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities
* Contributing to the design of exciting projects and developments across the region
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery
* Mentoring and supporting colleagues' professional development
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Preparing and checking technical documents, such as reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, etc.
* Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you uphold the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
* Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
* A UK Bachelors Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant field of study)
* Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
* Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority setting
* Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
* Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
* Proficient in the use of various software systems (including Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
* Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
* Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders within the industry
* Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
* A Higher Degree in a relevant discipline
* Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
* Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
* Experience of leading projects/teams
* Experience of working in a public-facing role
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
