We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to work within a team of nurses and healthcare assistants. You will work under the guidance of a District Nurse to assess, implement, and evaluate person-centred care for a caseload of patients, undertaking venipuncture, wound care, catheterisation, syringe drivers, end of life care, and symptom control.
Upon achieving all relevant competencies, the post holder will be reviewed for a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse position. The role involves working Monday to Sunday between 8 am and 8 pm. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use are required; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Job Purpose
* The post holder will visit adult patients in their own homes with identified nursing needs, including those with long-term conditions, complex care needs, and end-of-life care.
* The post holder will use an electronic patient record system, EMIS, and be provided with a work iPhone and iPad for mobile working.
* The community nurse will utilize skills such as venepuncture, wound care, catheterisation, syringe drivers, end-of-life care, and symptom control. Successful attainment of all competencies will be reviewed for a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse role.
