Job Summary
To undertake the training of new drivers into the organisation to the required PCV standard, including assisting with CPC acquisition. Plus, other elements of training & various other duties when required to do so.
Main Responsibilities
1. Driver Training to PCV Standard.
2. PCV corrective training.
3. Theory, Hazard perception & Case study training.
4. CPC module 4 Training to test standard.
5. Vehicle checking and Defect reporting.
6. Type Training.
7. Introduction to Garages.
8. Completion of all progress reports and associated paperwork including C&G.
9. Communicating company policies and procedures.
10. Ensure the Health and Safety of all employees.
Essential Criteria
11. Applicants must have held a PCV licence for a minimum of three years, with no more than 3 points.
Competencies & Skills
12. Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels.
13. A thorough knowledge of the Highway code and PCV legislation.
14. A committed, positive approach to encourage and support new and existing members of staff.
15. Ability to work well under pressure.
16. Must be a team player and willing to develop others to increase team and individual performance.
17. Must be flexible.
Hours of work
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (this will involve shift work between 06:00 & 22:00) you may be required to work outside of these hours in line with the needs of the business
