The Swan Hotel & Spa is a luxury hotel nestled on the picturesque River Leven at the tip of Lake Windermere in the idyllic Lake district.
We are now looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy,dedicated and committed Kitchen Porter team,working the night shift you will be capable of working unsupervised and be able to manage your own workload in a timely manner. Shift times will be approximately 10.30pm until 6.00am.
Key Responsibilities
The role of the Night Shift Kitchen Porter is to be responsible for completing all nightly cleaning tasks,ensuring deep cleaning tasks and kitchen organisation is maintained to the highest of standards.
Key Tasks
* Responsible for cleaning all kitchen areas to include walls,floors and extraction units
* Removing and recycling waste from the kitchen
* Washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances,work surfaces and making sure kitchen equipment is stored safely and securely
* Ensure all company policies are implemented,followed and maintained at all times
* Adhere to all company Health and Safety Regulations,including wearing the appropriate PPE for all tasks
Skills and Abilities
* Physically able to carry out manual handling tasks
* Have effective time management skills
* Have an awareness of hygiene and safety regulations
* Good communication skills are essential in order to support all sections in the kitchen
* Be happy to adjust to night shift working
