Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses to support project decision-making.
Oversee all aspects of contract administration and provide expert guidance on contractual matters.
Accurately measure and value completed work on-site.
Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and payment certificates.
Monitor project progress and produce comprehensive cost reports for internal and client use.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to maintain financial efficiency.
Assess and value variations, negotiating with clients and subcontractors.
Offer strategic advice on procurement routes and contract selection.
Ensure strict compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying or cost management, ideally in commercial building projects.
Strong knowledge of standard contract forms (JCT, NEC, etc.).
Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, CATO, or similar).
Exceptional numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
