We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant in General Internal Medicine (GIM) to join a dynamic and multidisciplinary medical team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care, support acute medical services, and contribute to service development, teaching, and clinical governance in line with UK best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver consultant-level care for acute and general medical inpatients
2. Participate in Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and general medical ward rounds
3. Provide specialist input for complex medical cases and multi-morbidity patients
4. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, allied health professionals, and specialty consultants
5. Contribute to acute medical on-call rotas, including out-of-hours and weekend cover as required
6. Support clinical governance, audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
7. Supervise, mentor, and teach junior doctors and medical trainees
8. Ensure care delivery aligns with NICE guidelines and evidence-based practice
