YPS’ specialist products are delivered across the UK & Ireland to companies in a variety of industries including food, consumer goods, furniture, logistics etc.Our customers include Kellogg’s, DHL, M&S, JD Sports, Camelot, BT and P&G and many more.

We operate from our HQ in Brighouse and main warehouse in Heckmondwike, Yorkshire.This role is based at Heckmondwike.

The Role

To effectively manage the packaging consumables stock for YPS, ensuring accuracy, availability, and customer satisfaction through efficient stock control and supplier management.

The key duties of the post are as follows:

* Liaise with the current supplier base, maintaining strong working relationships
* Monitor daily stock movements and take proactive action where necessary
* Plan future deliveries in line with customer forecasts and usage and according to supplier lead times
* Place and manage purchase orders for packaging consumables, verifying pricing for all new stock purchases
* Maintain the Awaiting Stock List to ensure all incoming delivery dates are accurate
* Update all systems with confirmed delivery dates and pricing
* Apply plastic tax details where applicable
* Track and assess supplier performance
* Ensure all purchasing practices comply with BRC policies and procedures
* Adhere to customer-specific requirements for stock and delivery
* Support the Sales Order Processing team when required
* Create relevant reports for colleagues and Directors, relating to stock levels
* Support the Team with finance issues, year-end procedures and other requirements, as required

Profile

* The successful candidate will:
* Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably more
* Ideally, have experience in using Sage and Phocas platforms, but not essential.
* Be thorough, with a keen eye for detail
* Possess excellent communication skills and be proactive in contacting colleagues and suppliers
* Be a team player with the ability to help out in other areas if needed
* Demonstrate superb customer service skills, with a desire to be as helpful as possible at all times

Package

* Salary will be commensurate with experience.
* Annual discretionary bonus.
* Annual salary review.
* 20 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays, plus additional Christmas shutdown period (not taken from annual holiday allocation).
