Class Teacher (SEN) - Specialist Primary School

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language Needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
* Lead the day-to-day teaching and care of a class of pupils with SEN
* Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievements
* Provide strong pastoral support to pupils
* Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and external professionals
* Line manage and support Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) within the classroom
* Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
* Prepare reports for Annual Reviews and maintain accurate student records
* Participate in school activities including PE, swimming, and enrichment programmes
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Has experience working with SEN, particularly ASD or complex needs
* Is confident managing a classroom with additional support staff
* Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
* Is flexible, proactive, and a strong team player

This role involves working in a specialist setting, which may include:
* Supporting pupils with personal care needs
* Assisting with medical or therapeutic programmes (training provided)
* Participating in physical activities (e.g. PE, swimming)
* Working in a hands-on, dynamic classroom environment
