Are you looking for the next step up within the department?
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Science Teacher to join our management team within the department. The successful candidate will start in September 2025 on a full-time, permanent basis, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as Deputy Head of the Science Department.
Our Science department has been excellently led over the past 10 years, equipped with excellent resources, curriculum materials, and significant investment in technology.
Main Duties:
1. Improve and develop teaching and learning across the three sciences.
2. Create and deliver high-quality lessons and lesson plans.
3. Enhance teaching and learning through staff development, observation, feedback, and advice.
4. Monitor the delivery of the subject, resource development, and student progress assessment.
5. Address any issues identified through monitoring to improve teaching, learning, or student outcomes.
6. Promote challenging, engaging, and appropriately differentiated lessons.
7. Foster good behavior to create a purposeful learning environment, supporting colleagues in achieving this.

As Deputy Head of the Science Department, you will have:
* A degree in a science-related field
* UK QTS
* PGCE qualification
* Experience teaching Science in a UK school
* A proven record of outstanding student results
* Experience in curriculum development
* Exceptional teaching and tutoring skills
* Strong developmental and leadership experience
* Ability to reflect and pursue self-improvement
* A commitment to the school's ethos
