Role Overview
The RF Power Project Development team is responsible for the development and delivery of next‑generation products within the RF Power division portfolio. This role focuses on mechanical and electrical assembly and test of complete RF systems, including fabrication and integration of RF systems.
Responsibilities
* Fabrication and integration of sub‑systems and components.
* Manufacture of electrical assemblies and cables.
* Work from schematics and assembly drawings.
* Prioritise and complete tasks to agreed timescales.
* Provide effective feedback to project teams, stakeholders and management.
* Mentor other members of the project fabrication and test team as required.
* Support a proactive safety culture, including risk management and mitigation.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas (typical 5–10% per year).
Experience and Qualifications
* ONC/OND NVQ Level 3 (BTEC) / HNC in Electrical / Electronic engineering or equivalent experience in a professional engineering development / production environment.
* Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work from assembly drawings / schematics, work instructions and procedures with limited supervision.
* Familiarity with standard test equipment and interpreting results.
* Comfortable working in a small engineering team and supporting others.
* Small form factor soldering and / or J standard qualification (or willingness to learn).
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production requirements.
Desired Qualifications
* Knowledge of high voltage testing / electrical safety / Lock Out Tag Out.
* Competent in the use of AutoCad (ideally AutoCad Electrical).
* Experience of RF test methodologies.
* PCB rework.
