and main responsibilities The roles and responsibilities of a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) include (but not limited to):
1. Making sure patients are comfortable
2. Helping patients move around
3. Washing and dressing patients
4. Taking basic observations and updating patient records
5. Keeping departments tidy and ensuring equipment is clean
6. Serving meals and helping patients eat
7. Collecting, storing, and labelling biological specimens
8. Keeping hospital supplies properly stocked and organized
9. Working closely with other healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, and therapists in order to provide patients with exceptional care
10. Support workers may also provide physical and emotional support, encourage and support the development of personal skills, and help with household task
This post is being advertised as a Band 3, however applicants that do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3. As part of the interview process you will be asked to complete a numeracy and literacy assessment.

11. NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification/ willingness to work
