The Role

As SENCO, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating SEND provision across the nursery, ensuring early identification, effective intervention, and inclusive practice for all children with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading on EHCP processes and overseeing individual support plans
* Maintaining and updating the SEND register, with accurate records of pupils’ needs and progress
* Liaising with parents, external agencies, and borough support teams to ensure joined-up, high-quality provision
* Organising and delivering staff training to build confidence and consistency in inclusive approaches across the setting

This position is offered on a 5 day per week basis, term-time only.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* The National SENDCO Award (or equivalent recognised qualification)

The School

This role is based at a well-established and inclusive early years, term-time only school located in Kennington. The school has a strong reputation for nurturing each child’s individual development and is committed to early intervention and inclusive practice. Led by a dedicated leadership team, the school offers a welcoming, child-centred environment where staff are encouraged to collaborate and grow professionally.

The setting is easily accessible by public transport and is part of a wider federation of schools in the borough, offering excellent opportunities for shared training and development.

If you’re an experienced SENDCO ready to make an impact in a high-quality early years setting, we’d love to hear from you.
