We are seeking an experienced and motivated Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) to join our dedicated epilepsy service at Frimley Park Hospital on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. Working as part of an established multidisciplinary team, including Epilepsy Specialist Nurses and an Epilepsy Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals living with epilepsy.
Your responsibilities will include supporting patients with new diagnoses, coordinating care across hospital and community settings, and acting as the primary point of contact via the dedicated epilepsy advice line. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients both in the community and during hospital admissions, ensuring continuity and a seamless care experience.
A key focus of the role is proactive management to reduce avoidable hospital admissions and readmissions by developing and promoting robust care pathways. You will also contribute to service development, patient education, and professional training to enhance the quality and accessibility of epilepsy care.
In addition, you will work to identify and nurture Epilepsy Champions within the community--helping to build networks that improve awareness, patient outcomes, and long-term support for individuals with epilepsy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, compassionate nurse to make a meaningful impact within a forward-thinking and supportive team.
Main duties of the job

In collaboration with our Consultant Neurologists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will adopt a holistic approach to care--supporting patients and their families to understand and manage their condition effectively.
