The role
Salary: £85,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements: Experience in senior technology, delivery, or engineering leadership roles Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes Strong background in software delivery within SaaS or cloud platforms Solid technical expertise in the Microsoft stack, including C#, .NET, Azure, and SQL Server Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering quality, and system design Experience implementing DevOps and modern delivery practices Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and complex delivery portfolios Strong stakeholder skills, with experience working closely with C-level leadership Exposure to data, AI, or platform modernisation initiatives is beneficial Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical change into clear, business-focused narratives Responsibilities: Partner with our CTO to define and deliver the technology transformation roadmap Lead large-scale software delivery and SaaS transformation initiatives Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and observability Bring structure and clarity to complex, multi-stream delivery programmes Provide technical oversight across our Microsoft stack, including C#, .NET, Azure, and SQL Server Challenge architecture and engineering decisions to ensure scalability, resilience, and performance Align engineering, product, data, and operational teams around clear delivery outcomes Manage dependencies, risks, and delivery trade-offs across multiple initiatives Communicate progress, risks, and value to senior leadership and stakeholders Embed a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation Technologies: AI Azure C# CI/CD Cloud CTO DevOps SQL ASP.NET More: We are partnering with a technology-led organisation undergoing a major digital transformation, and this is a high-impact leadership role for someone who blends strong technical depth with proven ability to lead complex software delivery and transformation at scale.
