Why choose our Client?
Our client is a traditional seaside hotel on the Suffolk coast, part of a small collection of privately owned hotels. The 3-star hotel features a restaurant open to both residents and non-residents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, using fresh ingredients and offering views of the North Sea and the beach.
The hotel caters for approximately 20-60 covers at breakfast (buffet style), around 15 at lunch, and up to 50 at dinner, with slight variations during peak times.
What’s involved?
As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, taking charge in their absence. You will help plan and deliver menus that appeal to guests and produce high-standard food.
You will supervise the kitchen team, ensuring consistent quality using fresh ingredients, and be involved in recruitment, training, and development. Attendance at management and training meetings is also required.
You will perform checks and controls, help maintain records, participate in stocktaking, and ensure adherence to fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
