Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Handle any customer complaints or special requests with professionalism.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a positive team environment.
Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
