We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy and friendly Residential Property team in Newbury. This role is ideal for someone with previous conveyancing experience or strong administrative skills who is keen to develop their career within property law.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting fee earners with residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
* Preparing and managing legal documentation, including contracts and completion statements
* Opening, maintaining and closing files in accordance with firm procedures
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors
* Handling searches, Land Registry applications and post-completion matters
* Managing correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries
* Assisting with billing, time recording and general administrative tasks
About You
* Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal support role preferred
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
* Professional, approachable and client-focused
* Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* A proactive team player with a positive attitude
