Applicants sought for Substantive Detectives, those currently going through qualification or seeking to be qualified. Those who wish to transfer to Herefordshire in CID roles will be prioritised. Pathway 1 - You are a fully qualified detective constable at your current force. PIP 2 qualified and can be posted straight onto a local policing area. Pathway 2 - You are an experienced, substantive police constable currently going through the detective pathway with your current force but would like to continue this training with West Mercia. Pathway 3 - You are an experienced, substantive police constable, wishing to begin your detective career and training with West Mercia. We currently have roles available across Reactive and Vulnerability departments at all Local policing areas. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to take the next step in your career in investigations. These roles all present an excellent opportunity for you to work alongside a team of professional investigators and gain valuable insight, knowledge, skills and ability to investigate serious, complex and specialist crime. Working in Reactive or Vulnerability, you will play a critical role in investigating crime, giving you the opportunity to provide specialist advice and support to all investigations. Depending on the role, our shift patterns are either six days on, four days off, or based around Monday to Friday with limited weekend working.
