About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team a leading main contractor specializing in high-quality residential and commercial projects. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing multiple contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to drive successful project outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from pre-construction through to completion.
* Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and effective resource allocation.
* Lead negotiations and manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with contract terms, legal requirements, and health & safety standards.
* Monitor project performance, managing risks and resolving issues as they arise.
* Report on project progress, providing updates to senior management and clients.
* Coordinate and support the project teams in delivering projects successfully.
REQUIREMENTS
About the Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar senior role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction projects.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
* A strong understanding of contract law, health & safety, and relevant building regulations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
* A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
