About the Role As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of Splashpoint, ensuring the smooth delivery of services, a safe environment for customers and staff, and the highest standards of customer service. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating teams, overseeing facility operations, and supporting pool programming and plant management. About You The successful candidate will need great customer care skills and be prepared to work a shift pattern which will include some early starts, late finishes, weekends, and Bank Holidays. The candidate must have experience of working in a large, comparable leisure facility and managing / motivating a team. What’s the Role Our successful applicant will report into the Senior Duty Manager & Operations manager and be responsible for supervising the day to day running of Splashpoint swimming pool and all activities within the facility. You will be working as part of a small, friendly team dedicating to ensuring all our customers satisfaction. You will and be expected to assist in the setting up of various activities and ensure that cleanliness, safety, and great customer experience is maintained throughout the facility. A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required or the ability to attend and complete a training course. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Oversee daily operations across the facility, ensuring high standards of safety, cleanliness, and hygiene. Act as a keyholder, including opening and closing the building. Supervise and support all site staff, ensuring adequate shift cover and effective team coordination. Set up and take down equipment for programmed activities and events. Work closely with the Swimming Programme Manager to maintain the pool timetable. Lifeguard pool sessions as required. Conduct regular equipment and facility checks, reporting and recording any issues. Undertake water testing and assist in plant room operations. Respond efficiently to emergencies and unexpected scenarios. Customer Service Maintain a high level of customer service by being professional, approachable, and helpful at all times. Collaborate with the wider management team to ensure consistent service delivery. Cash Handling Perform till and cashing-up duties as required. Handle daily takings securely in line with South Downs Leisure’s financial procedures. General Duties Support team coverage by working flexibly on a shift rota, including covering for staff absences. Undertake training and other duties as required in line with Trust policies. Why Join Us?
