Money Matters Caseworker– 36.25hrs – 12month FTC
RBH own and manage around 13,000 homes within the Borough of Rochdale in Greater Manchester. We are looking for a highly organised, professional, confident Caseworker to join our Money Matters Team.
This role requires a great deal of care and empathy, and a real understanding of social issues that affect RBH customers.
As a Money Matters Caseworker, you will provide support to our customers by ensuring the efficient delivery of a financial inclusion service, with practical support interventions. You will possess a thorough understanding of and ability to interpret welfare benefits, debt, and housing legislation; accompanied by a practical ability to apply this knowledge, interpret financial information, maximise customer income and help to reduce outgoings.
You will be a key player in enabling RBH customers to confidently manage their finances and successfully sustain their tenancies.
As part of our Tenancy Support Service, you will work closely with teams across the organisation and external partners to identify and support customers in need.
You will independently manage a challenging caseload, prioritising work in the face of competing demands with a flexible and adaptable approach. You will have the ability to act on initiative and assess situations making appropriate decisions.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on delivering financial inclusion support, interpreting welfare benefits, debt and housing legislation, applying knowledge to maximise income and reduce outgoings, and supporting customers to sustain tenancies. You will work with the Tenancy Support Service to identify customers in need and manage a challenging caseload with initiative and sound decision-making.
