Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced LVT / Amtico Floor Layer to join our skilled construction team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in laying luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) and Amtico flooring, ensuring high-quality finishes in commercial and residential settings. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of construction principles to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing flooring solutions. Duties
* Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary underlays to ensure optimal adhesion of flooring materials
* Measure and cut LVT / Amtico tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specified areas according to schematics and project plans
* Lay flooring precisely, ensuring alignment, pattern consistency, and adherence to manufacturer guidelines
* Utilise carpentry skills for minor modifications or adjustments to subflooring or surrounding structures as required
* Apply construction painting techniques where necessary for finishing touches or touch-ups around the flooring installation
* Use schematics and technical drawings to guide installation processes with accuracy and efficiency
* Operate power tools safely and effectively, maintaining equipment in good condition throughout the project
* Maintain a clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project progression
Skills
* Proven experience in laying LVT / Amtico flooring with a strong portfolio of completed projects
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as cutters, chisels, trowels, and measuring devices
* Skilled in operating power tools including saws, drills, and grinders safely and effectively
* Good understanding of construction principles, schematics, and technical drawings
* Ability to perform carpentry tasks related to flooring installation or minor structural modifications
* Knowledge of construction painting techniques for finishing work or touch-ups around installed flooring
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently on multiple projects
* Excellent attention to detail ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout each phase of installation
