We've recently restructured our senior engineering management team across the Humber to facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) works across the region and support our continued business growth. Within this region we operate four ports, Hull & Goole on the North Bank and Immingham & Grimsby on the South Bank. In order to deliver the change plans across the South Bank we're currently looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager from a maintenance and reliability background to oversee all planned and predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, small to medium OPEX project works, to drive change and drive operational/engineering excellence across the two sites of Immingham and Grimsby.
You'll need to be qualified to a minimum of HNC level, ideally educated to degree level, and will need to have experience of change management and CI activity within the heavy engineering sector. With 6 direct reports, and an overall team of around 40, you should be able to demonstrate a track record of ensuring increased output and operational capabilities driven by specific measures and improvements the engineering team have undertaken.

Key Skills & Experience
• Qualified to HNC/HND or higher in relevant Engineering discipline - ideally chartered engineer or working towards
• Extensive experience in maintenance and reliability management in a management / leadership role
• Excellent leadership and strong team management skills.
• Proficiency in asset management and data systems - including reporting and CMMS management
• Experience of continuous improvement and change management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with a growth mindset
• Budgetary Awareness.
• A good Understanding of Safe working practises and HSE Legislation
