Job Title: Lecturer in Hairdressing
Salary: £17,745 (fixed Point) (FTE £35,490)
Location: Waterfront and/or Pioneer
Hours and Weeks per Year: 18.5 Hours a week / 52 weeks per year
Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you'll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others.
Role Overview
In the role of Lecturer in Barbering / hairdressing you would be mainly based at the Waterfront Centre in Huddersfield or occasionally the Pioneer Centre in the centre of Dewsbury and your focus will be on delivering the curriculum to learners.
Your key responsibilities will be planning and delivering lessons, monitoring learners' progress, and working with the department to ensure continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally, you'll have Level 3 in your subject area, your Cert Ed in teaching and learning, a level 3 assessors award and demonstrable experience in industry. It's essential that you're able to communicate effectively, engage with young people, be able to work in a team and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
