Five Education is an independent education agency specialising in SEND. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Salisbury.

The Role
You will be working within a special school setting, supporting students with a variety of special educational needs, which may include autism, learning difficulties, complex needs, and communication challenges.
Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and build confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
The role may involve a combination of 1:1 and small group support, depending on the needs of the students.
No prior experience is required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive, resilient, and confident in supporting students with additional needs and, at times, challenging behaviour.
It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (term time only, and working hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm. The pay is dependent on experience but up to £92.59 per day (inclusive of holiday pay) for 6.5 hours of work.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old

Ability to provide relevant references and complete DBS/police checks (support can be provided)*

Support students in accessing learning activities tailored to their individual needs
Assist in the delivery of lessons in a way that is engaging and accessible
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support the development of communication, social, and life skills
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Essential Criteria

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliability and commitment to a full-time role
*If you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
