Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Deputy Manager to join our team at the Sunderland Royal Hospital. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a salary of £24,023 per annum. About the Deputy Manager role: The Deputy Retail Manager supports the Retail Manager in the day-to-day running of a shop/café(s), ensuring the delivery of operational excellence in line with the RVS mission and values. They assist the Retail Manager in the leadership of the team to produce excellent customer service and store standards in order to drive profitability. Provide support and direction in the delivery of key performance indicators Assist the Retail manager in the achievement of sales budgets and cost control Delivery of exceptional shop/café standards and friendly, helpful and efficient customer service levels in the sites Compliance of all statutory standards policies and procedures including Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Data Protection, Stock Control and other operating policies and procedures Cascade regular communication and dealing with employee/volunteer issues as they occur Deliver coaching, mentoring and training to the team in order to ensure compliance with Royal Voluntary Service Policies and Procedures and the delivery of operational excellence Hours: 35 hours per week, with flexibly around a 7 day rota. Analysis and Initiative: Ability to understand and interpret data and utilise, for application on a day-to-day basis. Planning: Information cascades, setting tasks and monitoring outcomes. Short term planning and routine processes. Physical Rotas and resource planning Financial – Facilitate stock management process. Particular emphasis on accurate receipt of delivery and replenishment. Establishing positive and effective relationships with: Volunteers & Staff: Daily, continuous, 2 way contact. Exchange of information and direction either formally or informally.
